Student Orientation 29th October 2022

The academic session for the year 2021-2022 began on the 29th of October 2021 with an orientation programme for the freshers. The main objective was to familiarize them with all the activities that are a part and parcel of their 3 year study at college. The programme began with a reading from Bible, followed by an invocation song.

The Principal Dr. Sujatha Christopher acquainted the freshers with vision, mission, rules and regulations and National Education Policy(NEP). She also encouraged them to make use of all the opportunities provided to them at college. Her speech covered a preview of all the varied curricular and co-curricular activities that cater to their holistic development. On the whole the orientation programme set the stage for new beginnings.

Prize Distribution

• The Botany students participated in a workshop & seminar organized by Mount Carmel College, Bangalore on the topic 'Molecular Technology’. They were given participation certificates.

• Sanjana.S. Shetty of I B.com participated in the Open National Championship by Youth and Sports Promotion Association of India, Goa on the 26th & 27th of November 2021. She secured a gold medal in the following team events – throw ball, khokho & athletics. She also secured a Bronze Medal in Kabbadi.

Daksh Non-Profit Working on Law & Justice Reforms conducted a workshop on Reporting on the Justice System on Sunday, 5th December 2021. Two of the Journalism students attended the same and learnt how to report court related news.
